Hello everyone and welcome to my first guide. This guide will make you get the most of your computer power and mostly help you remove unneccessary stuff slowing down your computer.
1. Removing unneccessary processes.
When using a computer on a daily basis, you often stumble on different sites and programs telling you that you need to install a software. These softwares sometimes put themself into always running on your computer and checking if you are visiting the website or whatever you need them for.
For example: If you ever installed/used java im almost sure that you are right now running a process using about 1000k of your ram checking if you are visiting sites using java. Now you are probably thinking , but what if i do visit a site that needs me to use java? It is simple, when visiting a site using java the site tells the computer to start java. The reason you are already running a little java starter is to start it faster.
Having a iPod/iPhone or ever installed iTunes? Then you have a 4600k iTunes helper module always running on your pc even when iTunes is not.
Discovering and removing processes.
Start the Task Manager.(ctrl+alt+delete) Press the tab called processes.

Here you can see all processes curently running.
Tip. Press the user name dropdown to sort by user name. The ones using your login name are the ones that are safely to kill without shutting down your pc, although you should not kill any possess unless you know exactly what the process is for. The ones using SYSTEM as user name are the ones that are very critical to touch. And closing some of them results in your pc trying to shut down.
Note: Killing a process here doesnt mean it cant be started again.
We will not kill any processes with the task manager since then we would only end them for this session. Instead we will remove the process from auto starting with your computer start.
Preventing processes from auto starting when starting your computer.
Press “windows button+r” wich is shortcomand for RUN.

Type “msconfig” in the box and hit ok/enter.

Press the startup tab.

Uncheck processes you dont feel you need to start when starting your computer and hit apply.
I had 4 startups i dont need and i it was only a week since i formatted it.

Hit apply and you are done! (Need computer restart)
